The Advantages of Shelfari for Authors and Readers

As all three of my e-books are on Amazon, I recently discovered the Shelfari website, and have found it to be very helpful in a number of ways, and would like to share these with you. Here’s the link to Shelfari:

It is a very useful resource as it allows authors (and readers who have read an author’s books) to upload detailed information about a book, such as the themes of the book, main characters, settings and locations, which subsequently appear on the individual book’s Amazon page, and only enrich a reader’s understanding of the book, and its content. It is also a good website as it allows contributors to leave reviews of books, and, of course, contains a link to the books on Amazon. Please click on the photo of my e-book, THE GREAT HIGH SCHOOL LOVE GAME, for an example of a book’s Shelfari page and its set up:

Apart from this, Shelfari also has an author biography page, which features books by whichever author one is seeking whose books are on Amazon. As with other interactive book websites such as the informative Goodreads, it also has a community of members who converse with each other about their favorite books, and other related topics. The books which readers have read are also displayed by their covers on their individual reading shelf, which is a good method of seeing at a glance which books have been read, and their individual ratings. As a website which is both reader, and author friendly, it is a valuable resource that should be utilized for its features, as anything which assists us in our writing, and reading endeavors, is always welcome.
